Senior Game Developer

Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Game Developer (full time) that is a skilled programmer with affinity to work in an innovate industry. As Senior Game Developer you are responsible for developing essential parts of our mobile social game frameworks and innovative gameplay mechanics.

Our candidate is an all-rounder, is self-motivated and has a keen affinity for game-technology. You are eager to learn about new developments and technologies in the market and are actively looking for ways to apply this to our business. We prefer a candidate that has the ambition to grow into a Lead Developer role, where he/she is responsible for leading a team of developers.

As part of the Game Studio team, you will work closely with developers, designers, artists, project management and the Technology team.

We require

A computer science (Bachelor or Master level) degree or similar experience
A proven track record (3 to 6 years) in a game development role
Development experience in Action Script (AS2 and AS3) and Eclipse / Flash builder tools
A team player with h4 social and communication skills
Experience with / interest in Scrum or similar agile development methodologies
Good writing and communication skills in English

We also prefer

Development experience in HTML5, JavaScript, J2ME or similar programming languages
Experience in developing for mobile platforms such as iPhone, Symbian or Android
Familiarity with integrating social media such as Facebook
Knowledge of J2SE and PHP for integrating our back-end server-side applications
Hands-on experience in leading a team
